kendall turns nineteen! happy birthday!

for koko’s first birthday away from home, bren and i wanted to do something special for her. i knew we had to go all out considering that this is the last birthday she will celebrate with family for a while, as this summer she will be serving a mission for the LDS church. i’m sure there are several of you reading this that are just as excited as i am to find out where she will serving!

as all good party throwers do, i started my party-prep process in the most fun and colorful aisle at the nearest super target. they had all sorts of super adorable plate / napkin / tablecloth combinations to choose from. kendall isn’t a pink-loving girl, so bren and i chose a lime and navy theme and made yummy red velvet cupcakes for dessert. and, come on, who doesn’t love cupcakes with single candles. i know i do. kendall’s friends were super cute and fun. we played Just Dance 4 (til that got shut down by our neighbors. frowny face) and then cuddled up in blankets to watch the most-beautifully costumed movie of all time Penelope!

Koko, my fave sister-in-law who lives in Utah, I hope your birthday was, if not one for the ages, pretty stinkin’ good. you’re awesome and i love you. the end.
